It has been a while since I wrote about day stay, a most favourite thing for Singaporeans wishing to escape the packed homes during the Covid period. It is still something people do. Today, I am visiting a new one, Momentus Hotel Alexandra Day Stay.

Momentus Hotel Alexandra : Location Is Good but not close to MRT
Momentus Hotel Alexandra is located at Queenstown area, right next to IKEA ! Swedish meatballs before a stay, anyone ? 🙂
That means it is also close to great food places such as Alexandra Hawker Centre and part of my hiking trail at Alexandra PCN. And, for those who cares, it is also a GHA hotel (although day stay never qualify for clocking stays, except during those desperate Covid period where a day stay at Vagabond Club hotel did and allowed me to get a Marriott Platinum status for a couple of years).
But take note that there is no nearby MRT station. The nearest one is Queenstown MRT, about 15 mins walk away….
Parking at Momentus Hotel Alexandra
You will park at Alexandra Central, which is the shopping mall right next to the hotel. Surprisingly, it is possible to get a parking coupon from the hotel receptionist. I am quite surprised (and happy) as usually, hotels will tell you that the mall’s car parking has nothing to do with them. But not in this case !
So +1 to this hotel for the day stay… in fact, this is a killer point for me for this hotel going forward..

Momentus Hotel Alexandra Day Stay Cost
There is only one small problem. Momentus Hotel Alexandra is one of the few hotels in the Day Stay app that requires upfront non-refundable payment. Experts to day stay know that this is quite difficult as day stays are, by nature, flexible and on the fly decisions. Other hotels requiring upfront non-refundable payment include Changi Yotel, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard and Park Avenue Rochester.
The cost is $110 before GST for 4 hours stay. For 6 hours (e.g 12 pm to 6pm), it is $130 before GST.
Momentus Hotel Alexandra Check In
Check in was fast and pretty easy. There is just one issue for you, day stay experts. The walk to the lifts to the rooms does take you past the reception and it can be pretty obvious if the traffic is slow or very little people are around. Experts know why…
Else it is a pretty nice check in and I had a friendly check in experience (with the usual, “anyone checking in with you, sir”.. no, I am BBFA….)
The lift lobby to the rooms is pretty nice too.
An excellent view await you when you reach your floor.

The Day Stay Room Momentus Hotel
IS BEAUTIFUL. To me.. after having been to ibis Styles Singapore On Macpherson (which I had a world record breaking 15 mins day stay as the room is simply cannot make it due to its age). A day stay is about feeling and relaxing.
This room reminds me of my favourite Hong Kong hotel, The Silveri Hong Kong-M Gallery. The same Muji feeling 🙂

The view is pretty nice too.. I can see the “in the news” RED Bukit Merah HDB blocks 🙂
A nice TV and open style coffee bar is pretty neat too.

No bath tub but a standing shower room with Rain Shower !

And good shower body wash and shampoo…
Conclusion
This hotel surprises me with its beautiful room ! I am very happy with the room as it gives me a very warm and comfortable feeling. I even managed an hour of nap after a couple of quiet work.
Everything is great and the FREE PARKING is amazing to me.
The only issue is the NON REFUNDABLE booking, which defeats the purpose of an adhoc day stay but hey, if you (and your partner) plans are firm, no issue right :p
