One night in Japan two weeks ago, I have not decided what to have for dinner. I was really tired from the work but was dying for some sushi and sashimi. I decided to try out this restaurant Uoriki Kaisen Sushi at Shibuya featured from LadyIronChef web site.

As I exited from Shibuya station in Tokyo and using my favourite Hachiko exit, it still took me a while to find the Uoriki Kaisen restaurant. I was going around in circles in B1 floor of the Tokyo department store (where there are so many stores selling food food food…).

And boy was it worth the find… the food is fantastic. I love every single piece of sushi and sashimi I ate. There is an English menu so don’t worry .. you will be able to order the food you want !
I loved the layout of the restaurant. It was small (very small) but I loved sitting in front of the friendly sushi masters.
The menu is in front of you. Do order the miso soup which is great as it comes with clams !! I had three servings of this..

I started off with a set from the menu.
Every piece is so fresh. So good. So tasty. I loved it so much. I finished up the set and immediately was on the hunt for more ! 🙂
And then I did ala-carte ordering of the dishes too…. I did that by reading the Japanese names (give me some credit).. but of course you can just point 🙂
I noticed some local patrons also ordered the bowl of food.. I asked to take a photo.. so here’s it is 🙂
My Conclusion of eating at Uoriki Kaisen Sushi at Shibuya
It was a wonderful dining experience and the food is superb. Fresh. You should definitely take a visit if you can.
However, if you are looking for Tempura, you can find it at Tsunahachi Tempura Shinjuku
Or even Katsukura Shinjuku Takashimaya
