I was thinking of a place to eat and was flipping through one of those paper travel guides (aka Lonely Planet or Eyewitness Travel etc… and who uses those nowadays !)…
Anyway in one of the pages on where to eat at Shinjuku, it recommended this place, Tsunahachi Tempura.

So I decided to drop by (with the help of a Google Map and its web site, rather than the travel book…)…
And I found it quite easily….
The front of the store… and yes there was a queue outside the store when I arrived… I just quietly wait for my turn 🙂

I was given a space at the chef’s cooking area.. and it was fun..
Ordered I did and boy did I truly enjoyed the meal. Every piece of tempura was well cooked and very tasty…
My conclusion of eating at Tsunahachi Tempura Shinjuku
The prices might be a (little) pricy (but then this is Tokyo and Shinjuku)… but I still recommend this great place for Tempura !!
But for real good and fairly priced sushi, I do recommend Uoriki Kaisen Sushi at Shibuya
