The Singapore Airlines New A380 Business Class was launched on the Singapore-Sydney flight on 18th Dec 2017.
A little while later, they further launched it to London and Hong Kong !!
Specifically for my most loved Hong Kong,
Starting February 18, 2018, Singapore Airlines will fly their new A380 to Hong Kong 4x weekly and by April 8, 2018, Singapore Airlines will instead fly their new A380s between Singapore and Hong Kong on SQ856/861.
It was on this SQ856/SQ861 that I got the chance to taste the new Singapore Airlines new A380 Business Class.
And this was made possible by the monthly KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes. So for example, a business class ticket to Hong Kong cost about 27,500 miles one way. With the Escape, it costs 18,750.

And even though when I booked, I was on not able to get a seat but was waitlisted.
However I cleared the wait list in a matter of minutes ! (yes minutes). I was able to confirm my seats very quickly. When choosing my seats, I can see why. The business class seemed rather empty. It will fill up closer to time of the flight but when I was booking in May (for June escape), it was easy and quick to confirm.
Later in May I tried to book a fourth seat but this time the wait list was no longer confirmed in minutes anymore. It took till two days before the flight to confirm my fourth seat. By then I decided not to bring my fourth lover along ;). So if you do want to use the offer, book early !!!
And so with tickets from my frequent flyer points, off we go to my favourite Hong Kong again !!

The design of the controls are really bad…
As it is very very very easy to accidentally trigger the buttons (e.g. call for the stewardess which I did 3 times in a 4 hour flight) as it is very likely you lean on the side as you watch movies etc…
