I had a marvellous stay at the W Hotel Sentosa Cove and its Marvelous Suite with Marina View.
I also recently reviewed the W Sentosa Away Room that comes with a pool in the room and a cabana.
Getting the free stay at W Hotel Sentosa Cove
When you sign up with the American Express Platinum Card, it comes with a free 3D/2N stay at Banyan Tree or Mandarin Oriental hotels, or a 2D/1N stay at the Capella Singapore. It also comes with a free one night stay at either St Regis or W Hotel Sentosa Cove.

For the W Singapore Sentosa Cove, I chose to upgrade to the Marvelous Suite with Marina View. I have a video at the middle of this blog post for a walkthrough of the room 448 (the Marvelous Suite) at the W Singapore Sentosa Cove, which I hope you can enjoy !
You can drive to the W Sentosa hotel from mainland Singapore and then park at the hotel basement. Hotel guests, of course, get free parking. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member which is helpful to collect some hotel points for my spend as W Hotels are part of the Marriott group.
Welcome to W Hotel Sentosa Cove
This is the main entrance of the W Hotel Sentosa Cove.
There are quite a few nice restaurants next to the hotel, alongside the Marina Cove. Hence, you will not be stuck with just the restaurants in the hotel (which are pretty good too). Also there is a free shuttle bus to Vivo City which, itself, has many shopping and food choices.
Arriving at the main entrance, you will be greeted by a stunning staircase and two glass lifts that take you to the check in reception area.
W Hotel Sentosa Cove Check in Lobby
The Reception (or Check in) of the Lobby of the W Hotel Sentosa Cove is very neat and comes with a super chill feeling.
Before going to the room, let’s take a look at the stunning swimming pool. Which comes with a very high slide. They called the pool area, “WET® POOL” and I think it lives up to the name. This HUGE pool is brilliant and your family will enjoy every moment at the pool. I promise that.
The highlight of the Wet Area must be the very tall and long water slide. Yes, there is a slide at the end of the pool, that will bring lots of fun to your children.
I also love the fact that there are many yellow floats around the pool (and in a quiet afternoon, no one will fight with you for them). It is a nice way to just float around the huge pool. And it is really a huge pool that you will not bump into anyone so easily like normal hotel pools.
Gym at W Hotel Sentosa Cove
I am a little weird when it comes to gym. I am just too lazy to visit a gym at my home condo (like it is just 5 mins down from my apartment) but I will take an effort to go to the hotel gym whenever I stayed in a hotel. Don’t ask me why 🙂
The W Hotel Sentosa Cove gym is a very modern gym. You will find all your regular exercise equipment. A gym is only as good as its atmosphere and honestly, it is HARD not to want to work out for hours at this gym. The music and the lights just keep you going. The staff is very friendly and good at what they do !
Make sure you bring your gym gear when you are staying at this hotel.
Marvelous Suite Room 448
I asked for room 448 which I am told that it is one of the best Marvelous Suite (there are higher grades of suites in this hotel but I cannot afford :p).

The living room and it’s rather small TV. It can be a little bigger as compared to the large wall. Comes with Bose sound system
On a separate topic, I am always in love with the FONT they used for the hotel stationery and products. Look at the words, “ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM”. The digital marketing guy in me just love it.

There is this chair INSIDE the master bedroom… which I guess, I can leave to your imagination on its use….. 🙂
And the bathroom… oh the wonderful bath tub with its very sleek looking TV. And of course, the fantastic view from the bath room !!
Night time in the W Sentosa Hotel Marvelous Suite
It is HARD not to feel romantic in the Marvelous Suite at night. It feels very sexy and very very hard not to want to hug your “her/him” all night long… (Unless you come with your kids.. HA).
The hotel even has a Spotify playlist for you and your special one to feel super romantic and in the mood…..
And look at the bed at night… you mean you don’t want to use it ? 🙂
And yes, the night view of the Marina from the room too….
You can also just lie down outdoors with her…. or him… talking and admiring the views….
And don’t you want to just soak naked in the bath tub with that view…. at night… no one can see you !! 🙂
Conclusion. Stay at this hotel !!
The attention to details.. down to changing the floor mat to reflect the time of the day. This summarises the hotel and its EXCELLENT customer service. Before, during and after my stay, I felt the excellent customer service.
Before the stay, I had several email communication with the staff and they were very professional and helpful. During the stay, we were treated very well and given the best service in terms of my needs and wants. We were even given a bottle of wine for the night to enjoy ! We left behind some personal stuff in the room and the after-stay customer service was superb. They make sure we got back what we had carelessly left behind.
Stay free at this hotel for one night when you sign up with the American Express Platinum Card, which offers you an amazing range of travel and hotel gifts and privileges. I, myself and many others who have this card, has already used the card to get benefits and discounts way beyond the yearly annual fee.
