W Sentosa Hotel Away Room with Pool and Cabana is my latest stay at the amazing W Hotel.

As part of American Express Platinum Card, I got a voucher for a night stay at the W Sentosa hotel. Last year, I chose to upgrade to a Marvelous Suite (check out the Youtube video too).
How to get W Sentosa Hotel Away Room with Pool and Cabana
This year, I decided to try out the W Sentosa Away Room that comes with its own pool and a cabana. There is a YouTube video on this room in the middle of this blog post. Look for it 🤑
This is part of the American Express Platinum Card benefits, which I have covered in many posts in this blog. In addition, this year, at around the same time, American Express also offered $100 back for $400 spent at the Marriot hotel, which I can use too.
And this is not just for Marriott hotels but also offers for Hilton hotels, Pan Pacific hotels etc.
American Express Platinum Card often have such offers to their members.

Location of Away Room
The Away Rooms are located on the garden level. It offers quick and direct access to the swimming pool (but you do have your own small pool in your room) and the gym. So it is really convenient.

Of course the highlight of the Away Room is the plunge pool and its own cabana.

The Wonderful Toilet and Bathtub (Again)
I love the toilet and the bathtub in the Marvelous Suite and the Away Room does not disappoint. Especially the bath tub !!

Love Dining Benefits
For this trip to this hotel, I also made use of the Love Dining benefits of the American Express Platinum Card. This allows me to save up to 50% in the restaurants in the hotel. I ate at the Kitchen Table and the magnificent “The Skirt” too.
The amazing food at the Skirt is something you need to try. It is literally “life changing” 🙂
For example, I ate lunch at the Kitchen Table with my daughter and there I paid one price for two meals (50% discount).
For the Skirt, it was 3 adults so the discount was 35%.
So for the American Express Platinum Card, it is not just about hotel membership upgrades, not just about free hotel stays and not just about travel credits. It is also great for dining when you used the Love Dining benefits.
