A while back, I wrote about my day stay at the ParkRoyal Pickering. During this day stay, I was in the Lifestyle Room. I was back last week for a night stay at the ParkRoyal Collection Pickering. This time I was in the ParkRoyal Pickering Signature Room.
I stayed at this room but I actually booked the lead in room (Urban King). The room was going for an amazing price of SGD125 a night (which is even cheaper than a day stay). Coupled with the fact that I was a Pan Pacific Discovery Black member, I got an early check in at 9am and a late check out the next day at 6pm. This almost translate to two day stays 🙂
And I was upgraded two level up to the ParkRoyal Pickering Signature Room. Which was great !
Since I already covered the Park Royal Pickering in the above article, I will focus on the magnificent room of ParkRoyal Pickering Signature Room.

ParkRoyal Pickering Signature Room
The room I was given was 904 (and a later stay, I also got 1104). “04” is at the extreme end of the hotel and hence is right next to an office building (I think it is Furama City Centre) and hence it makes for fun when you are using the toilet. I prefer 9011 (which I was given later) was it is right within the hotel and the toilet does not face any external building (but it still faces the other hotel rooms).
Nevertheless, here’s what greeted me when I opened the door. Nice !!
As it was 9am when I checked in, the full glory of the morning sun was shining into the room !
Not to worry, you can do two levels of curtains with the conveniently located switch.

The rest of room is cool too.
There is a big sofa which I guess can sleep one more person if you so wish… not sure if it is comfortable enough for a night sleep..

In line with the “green” nature of ParkRoyal hotels, there are no plastic water bottles but glass ones. Good luck trying to open them.. I always break the pulling tag…

But of course the day blind (which I find is good enough) and night blinds.. there are two sets.. one for the WC and one for the shower…

I love how the bathroom toiletries are very neatly packed every visit…
And I LOVE the smell of the shampoo and the body wash..

Conclusion
I love my stay there considering how cheap it was during my stay ($125++ per night) and my subsequent visit was at $185++. The fact that I have a early check in and a late check out makes it very worthwhile ! This came with my Pan Pacific Discovery Black Membership.
And the hotel is right next to Chinatown. Covid or not, it is a great place to EAT !!!
