Update in 2023: I have walked same route as there are new underpasses and traffic light crossing as part of Bishan to City project. You can still use this post together with the new post as they overlap in details in some areas and both have different endings anyway. The new article is Walking from Toa Payoh to Kallang in 2023.

Let’s continue our journey down Kallang Park Connector. I will now walk from Potong Pasir through to Kallang and finally the Sports Hub.
Note that I really did the Kallang Park Connector in 2 days. The first was from Kallang Park Connector: Bishan to Potong Pasir and now the next walk in a separate day was from Potong Pasir to Sports Hub. Old man ma.
Kallang Park Connector : Potong Pasir Parking
Previously we stopped at Potong Pasir Ave 1. While we could have parked at the HDB blocks around that road (some of which are actually clearly reserved for residents the whole day, interesting), I parked at the famous slanting roof top HDB block opposite the St Andrew’s school. This would be Block 145 HDB Potong Pasir. It has a HUGE car park in front of the HDB block so you can really park your car there easily.
From the car park, it is a very short walk back to our Kallang Park Connector ! You do need to cross a bridge to get back on track !
Beautiful Kallang River
Watch out folks
When you reach the end of this path, you will turn left to go up a bridge.
Crossing the PIE to Moonstone Estate
This route map shows you how to get from St Andrew’s area to Moonstone Estate
The route to the bridge that cuts across PIE
The bridge is very bicycle friendly !! Nice !!
I actually enjoyed sitting at the bridge and just watching the huge amount of traffic along PIE
When you reach the ground level, you can choose to go into Moonstone Estate to get to the other side of the PCN.
Walking INTO the estate, there are clear signs of the Kallang Park Connector
The entrance back to the Kallang Park Connector is on your right. The left side is a coffee shop if you need a break or a meal.
This part is quite nice with lots of private houses and condos
And yes you cross yet another bridge 🙂
And carry on your journey along the river
Crossing Bendemeer to Kallang Bahru
This is the route you will take after walking past Jui Residences. Yes there will be a bridge to cross over Bendemeer Road to reach Kallang Bahru.
Take this small walk path along Kallang River
You will then come to yet another bridge. The one in RED CIRCLE in this picture.
Take the bridge and when reached the ground level (Geylang Bahru River Point HDB flats), turn right into the Kolam Ayer ABC Waterfront (mouthful…).
This part of the Kallang Park Connector is really beautiful. The new HDB flats are amazing.
Carry on and cross the road to the other part
Jalan Besar Heritage Trail
You will then come to yet another bridge. Very nice bridge. Slim and very very modern. I like it a lot.
The canal name is Pelton Canal and it has its own park connector. You can access this Park Connector if you TURN LEFT after crossing the bridge above.
The Pelton Canal Park Connector, itself, is also connected to Paya Lebar and Hougang so that would a nice loop to walk too. Another day ! 🙂
But we will TURN RIGHT to carry on the Kallang Park Connector.
To the Jalan Besar Heritage Trail (aka Kallang Park Connector)
There is a Chinese temple just nearby and I dropped by for some prayers as this is the first time I have passed by this temple. Such a joy to be able to do so when you are out for a walk along the Park Connector. I believe
Here’s our route so far. The STAR is the temple. We are going to reach the Kallang MRT station.
The Kallang Trivista. These HDB flats will be worth a lot when MOP 🙂
You can see Kallang MRT
Tata… Kallang MRT.
Now once you reached the Kallang MRT, you have technically completed the walk from Potong Pasir to Kallang. Yo have reached the end of the Kallang Park Connector.
But we are not done. From here, I want to walk to Singapore Sports Hub. Or you can also choose to walk from this Kallang MRT to Kallang Riverside Park. You can see a sign that said that. But really from here, it is NOT CLEAR how to reach there.
Kallang MRT to Singapore Sports Hub via Stadium Park Connector
To do so, you need to walk along side the Kallang MRT and then cross the road via a traffic pedestrian crossing and then cut across the antique Geylang Lorong 1 Bus Terminal.
This map shows the way. Follow the GREEN DASHED line.
So basically from this map, let me explain. We came from the BLUE line along the Kallang Park Connector. We then came to the end of the Kallang Park Connector at Kallang MRT. We can then walk along the Kallang MRT, and then cross the road to Geylang Lorong 1 Bus Terminal. After that we have two choices. We can go the YELLOW way or we can go the RED way. The YELLOW way leads us to the Kallang Indoor Stadium and the Sports Hub. The RED way leads us to the Kallang Riverside Park and beyond. I will do the RED part another day but for now, we will do the YELLOW part.
Along the way you can see a “nice” underpass too… here’s the way to underpass 🙂
This route to Sports Hub offers some pretty nice scenery.
The Park Connector is now known as Stadium Park Connector 🙂
Tata… Kallang Wave Mall (or Sports Hub)
Have a walk along the riverside, just outside of the Kallang Wave Mall and Sports Hub. It is so enjoyable !
And hello Sports Hub or National Stadium !!
Tanjung Rhu Park Connector is nearby and I will do that next too !
Kallang Park Connector : Potong Pasir to Sports Hub Distance
According to my Runkeeper app, I walked 6.71 km from Potong Pasir to Sports Hub.
Ok. From here, you will have to take a Grab back to Block 145 HDB Potong Pasir to pick up your car 🙂
Onwards to Tanjong Rhu PCN
You can (if you are so strong.. sure stronger than Uncle here) to carry on to Tanjong Rhu PCN and from there to Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant ! And even beyond like Siglap PCN back to Kallang 🙂
