Izakaya Kobito at Niseko is a nice restaurant which we ate at when we were staying at the Hilton Niseko hotel. No, it is not near to the hotel but you can actually ask for a free pick up by the restaurant from your hotel.
Izakaya Kobito mainly provide Niseko’s local food as Izakaya food. They provide a variety of local foods such as Hokkaido Niseko’s potetos and local Sake, Hokkaido Reibun fish (Hokke) and so on.

Lunch is between 12:00 to 15:00 and Dinner is between 17:30 to 23:30. Eat and drink to your heart’s content !
As you can see from the Google Map, it is not that near to Hilton Niseko. As I am NOT driving in Japan, it will quite difficult to get to the restaurant.
Luckily, as per their web site, you CAN ask for a FREE pick up from the restaurant !
How I book the free ride to Izakaya Kobito
I first emailed the restaurant for a booking. Please note that in Niseko, YOU REALLY NEED TO DO YOUR DINNER (or even LUNCH) reservations early. Things get booked up really first and you will find that you don’t have any places to eat.

Then subsequently, I wrote a second email to confirm the need for a pick up at my Hilton Hotel.
And yes, right on time (like all things in Japanese), the mini bus came to pick us up to the restaurant. In talking to my fellow diners who was in the same mini-bus, they did not email them but asked the hotel concierge to help them call the restaurant for a booking and a free transport. Smarter than me 🙂
Izakaya Kobito : Beautiful Entrance
It has a most stunning front view. A stand alone building (the ground floor is the restaurant) but isn’t it beautiful in the cold winter night….

Entering the restaurant, you can see the chefs at the right hand side and there is bar sitting.
Or you can opt for the booth seatings. It is not a very big restaurant ..

Absolutely. Good food. Nice drinks. And free transportation from your hotel in Niseko area to the restaurant and back to your hotel. Why not…
It will make for a nice dinner after your whole day of skiing.
