Hilton Niseko Village is a very popular hotel at Niseko in Hokkaido. I stayed there for a week during my trip to Hokkaido and greatly enjoyed the stay. The main advantage of staying there is the convenience of the skiing as it is right next to the starting point of the ski routes for that part of Niseko.
Getting to Hilton Niseko Village
We were staying at Holiday Inn Sapporo Susukino Hotel and hence it is pretty straightforward to get from Sapporo to Niseko. Here’s the train route we took. We took the train from Sapporo Main Station to Otaru and then to a local train to Kutchan.
At Otaru, you need to be very fast to get out of the train and go into the (very crowded) local train to Kutchan.
Along the way, you get to enjoy beautiful winter views..
Arriving at Kutchan
When you arrived at Kutchan, you will then take the free shuttle bus from Kutchan to Hilton Niseko Village. You will notice it stopped at a few other places along the way.
The Kutchan Station in Winter is beautiful…

Hilton Niseko Village Lobby
The Hilton Niseko Village hotel Lobby is a very nice comfortable (and warm) place to hang out. Lots of people relax here in between ski trips or ski lessons.
King Deluxe Family Room
I booked the King Deluxe Family room. Did not managed to get any special upgrades (probably due to my lowly status of Gold and also the period of stay which is Christmas period and the hotel is fully booked).
The room is pretty decent. It does showed the sign of age 🙂
It does offer good scenic Niseko views.. I love the views..
There was a cute package of stuff for my kid…
This King Deluxe Family Room offers ample space for up to three adults. Relax on the bed and watch movies on the LCD TV or catch up with work at the desk with WiFi access. The room accommodates one king bed, with the option to add one single bed, depending on occupancy.
The toilet is a little small…
Special touches include a Yukata (Japanese cotton kimono) and slippers which you can wear to the hot springs in the hotel !
Convenience of Hilton Niseko Village
Of course, the convenience of Hilton Niseko Village is that it is the hotel that is right next to Niseko Village ski school. The ski resort is at the foot of Mount Annupuri, only a 10-minute gondola ride to the top. And hence, the hotel offers what they called “ski-in/out”…
At the lobby, you can simply walk to the ski school….
Niseko-Yo at Niseko Village
The village features a variety of dining options, from traditional Japanese cuisine to international dishes, catering to diverse tastes. This is where you can grab lunch in between your ski lessons or ski rides… reservations is a must 😉
It is like a Winter Wonderland photo 🙂
Conclusion : Hilton Niseko Village
It was a convenient and comfortable stay at the Hilton Niseko Village. There are buses to take you to other parts of Niseko (and you do need to plan your time and buses). The most important thing is that the skiing is really easy to do at Hilton Niseko Village as all you need to do is to walk down to the lobby, collect your gear at the ski area, and then walk out to the ski school or the cable car that takes you right up to the top of mountain.
When you are done skiing for the day, you just put your gear at the hotel and back to your room. Simple.
Convenience is the main draw for this hotel 🙂
