I have never stayed at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur hotel before and this time for my trip to KL, I decided to make use of my American Express Ascend card offer (free one night stay at Hilton hotels) to stay at this hotel. One word to describe my stay: “EXCELLENT”.
Location of Hilton Kuala Lumpur
It might not sound like the most convenient place but it actually is. The Hilton Kuala Lumpur hotel, located in the heart of Malaysia’s capital city and next to Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station. It is just a 5 mins walk from the Sentral Station to the hotel and is covered all the way. From this station, you can easily go to and come from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport via direct high-speed train (KLIA Ekspres).
Most importantly, this station also have MRT and LRT (subways) to places like KLCC. Very convenient as this means you don’t have to stay at those KLCC hotels if you need to stay there.
And why would you want to that ? It is not as if the Hilton KL itself is not cheap. Well, because it is simply a very nice hotel !
I like Hilton Hotels but if you are a Marriott fan, you can check out AC Hotel in Kuala Lumpur or Putrajaya Marriott too.

Hilton Kuala Lumpur and Hilton Honors Gold Upgrade
As a Hilton Gold member, I was upgraded to a King Executive Room. They also gave me the lake view (as compared to station view ?). It was very nice.

Hilton Kuala Lumpur King Executive Room
The lift lobby is nice and offers a great view of the lake.
There is a nice well lit walkway into the room. To the left is a door to the toilet (which is covered with a glass mirror) and also the same glass mirror covers the wardrobe. To the right are wooden fixtures with nice lighting.

I got a high floor and the view is simply nice (but not the all night long KL traffic jam).

As it was raining, the windows was a little blur. I took this photo of what should be the MAIN reason for my next trip here. The amazing huge swimming pool (co-shared with the hotel next door) and a slide (that’s the curvy white S-shaped structure). The children would LOVE this !!

The hospitality of Hilton hotels are legendary. And here’s an example.. NICE 3 bottles of local peanuts !
Hilton Kuala Lumpur Executive Lounge
The executive lounge is at the top few floors of the building and offer food at the evening and serve breakfast in the morning. At other times, there are free flow of coffee and drinks. The view is the same from my room so if you don’t get an Lakeview, you can take the chance to view it from here.
