Location of Putrajaya Marriott Hotel
Putrajaya Marriott Hotel is located just 25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It was a relatively easy Grab taxi ride for me from KLIA airport to the hotel. It is not necessary to take the KLIA express to the city first though.
What is nice about the hotel is that it is very close to IOI city mall. In fact the hotel provides to and forth transport from the hotel to the IOI city mall. In the mall, there are the food, shopping and supermarket. There is also a Toy R Us and a kid’s indoor playground.
We chose to stay at this hotel for our trip to KL as we needed to be near our family home at Kajang and this hotel is very near to Kajang area (relatively speaking….).
Hotel Lobby Of Putrajaya Marriott Hotel
A good hotel lobby tells a lot about a hotel. In this case, Putrajaya Marriott Hotel does not disappoint. The hotel lobby is huge and brightly lit. The check in counter is nice and prominent.
One floor down from the lobby is this huge and airy ball-room area. It leads to the restaurant as well as the excellent children’s play area which I will share later.
You cannot but help feeling relaxed at this hotel.
Our Room at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel
As usual, I booked the lead-in room at this hotel but was very nicely upgraded to a much bigger and better room. This is probably due to my status with Marriott which I obtained by means of the excellent American Express Platinum Card.

The Swimming Pool
This is a highlight as the pool is huge and has multiple pools to cater to the whole family. They also rent out floats and other water toys too. Next to the pool is the gym as well as playing stuff like board games and Table Tennis !
The Kiddies World at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel
The hotel boasted of its own small indoor playground. It is chargeable for external guests but is free for hotel guests.
It will keep your children occupied for a while ;). By that, I meant those below 6 years old or so 😉
Conclusion
If you have business or reason to be at Putrajaya of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, then the Putrajaya Marriott hotel would be a good reason and place to stay. It does have all the facilities and service expected of a five star Marriott hotel and is near to an excellent mall.
