Steps to check the firmware of the Zeppelin Air as well as how to adjust the bass (god.. I find the bass too heavy and need to reduce it to as low as -2)…
For both steps, you need to DOCK an iPhone to the Zeppelin and special menu items will magically appear on your iPhone (kidding). But seriously, you do need to dock the iPhone and also change the selection to iPhone (the colour of the LED on the crandle will change to BLUE). Perhaps you might even need to play a song first to “trigger” the Zeppelin Air to know that you already have an iPhone docked.
This is because all the settings are in the iPhone.
For firmware, it is in SETTINGS>GENERAL>ABOUT
After that you can go to B&W web site to find out which is the latest firmware. You need a USB cable to upgrade the firmware. I did not do so since my Air came with the latest version already.
For the bass volume adjustment, it is in SETTINGS>SPEAKERS
It was ZERO at first
I changed it to lower
Remember all these menus will only appear if you dock the iPhone to the Zeppelin Air.
So how can I change the bass settings under iOS 11 where there is no Speakers-settings?
Oops. No idea as I no longer have this speaker. Sold it. Ha
