Another Yamaha soundbar Yamaha YHT-S400.. This time it is the Yamaha YHT-S400.. Following the wonderful experience with the more expensive YSP-2200, this is a logical choice for a smaller size sound bar that is more suitable for smaller sized rooms. The usual key thing is the 3 HDMI in and 1 HDMI out and also the inclusion of the FM/AM tuner which even the more expensive YSP2200 does not have…
Do note that unlike the YSP-2200, there is no automated calibration process. It is just a plug and play process where you fix up the wires from the bar to the receiver and then use it… the receiver is a nice size and has quite a few good connections.
As usual, photos of the unboxing process…
The black wire at the top is the FM wire. Dun lose it!!!
The remote control:
The 6 wires in one set connection between the bar and the YHT-S400 receiver
You almost cannot find the Yamaha soundbar. It is so thin and hidden behind the white styrofoam cover… take it away and say hi to the baby:
There is nothing behind the sound bar except the connection for the 6 wires connection to the receiver and oh yes, the screw holes to hold up the stand
Time to say hi to the receiver itself
These are the most important to me.. the connections available 🙂
The 6 holes for the connection to the soundbar
And finally set up
And the receiver fit nicely into the cabinet
NICE !!!
