Roku 3 ! In a most pretty RED Box… NICE ! 🙂
Always wanted to get one to play around with, so it hitched a ride with the Asus RT N66U on its free ride to Singapore from Amazon. On a more serious note, I am not really interested in the streaming features (e.g. from Netflix) but its abilities to play videos from my Synology NAS. This can be accomplished through Channels such as Plex and recently Synology Video Station. I even heard it is possible to play movie files in USB through its USB Channel. So I will try all these out and let you know 🙂

One of the most important reason to get a Roku 3 over the rest of its family is this REMOTE CONTROL that comes with an ear phone.. amazing idea… why not others do this. This is good for family reasons and peace/happiness/prosperity at home (to avoid waking up babies..). But then obviously you are going to miss out on all the 5.1/6.1 sound effects 🙂
