A while back, I wrote about the amazing Andaz Singapore Studio Suite which I had stayed for one night at a very good price. I even have a video on that suite so do check it out in the post. Recently, I had the chance to try out the Andaz Singapore King Room too.
I got the room under the “Andaz Great Workation” package (link no longer show the Great Workation Package anymore).
Unfortunately, as of today (Jan 2021), it is no longer available.
At SGD 177 nett, it offers the perfect luxury designer setting to boost your productivity with an 8-hourstay in our guest room, inclusive of complimentary drinks, free local calls and SGD 30 dining credits to redeem on the same day. AMAZING AMAZING OFFER
I sweeten this deal by purchasing vouchers for this. There was a promotion during the Covid period where you could purchase vouchers ahead of time to reduce the SGD177 to a more acceptable level.
Andaz Singapore King Room
I was not familiar with Andaz (except for that amazing Suite, which I am still drooling over today..) so I was not aware that the lead-in room for the Andaz Singapore was quite outstanding.
The literature from the web site reads
“Rest in this 38 sq m (409 sq ft) guestroom with a king-size bed, a day bed, en suite bathroom with shower (no bathtub), and floor-to-ceiling windows framing stunning views of our vibrant neighborhood.”
https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/singapore/andaz-singapore/sinaz/rooms
Not one to read things on the web before visiting, I was hence un-prepared for the pretty nice room.
The Room
I got room 3502. This time, I know exactly how to open the room by flashing the card key at this postal box.
Tata….
A huge King’s size bed waiting for you.
Very comfortable sofa with a huge table, right in front of the TV, for your work from hotel needs. The TV can be “swing” to face you too.
Just have to try out my iPhone Ultra wide camera
View from the window towards the room
A view from the bed.
Drinks .. Nespresso of course 🙂
The Washroom Area
The part that impressed me most is not the bed or the sofa. It is the fact that we have a whole separate area for the washroom. There is a separate toilet and a separate shower room. It makes the room feel so much bigger and better than a normal lead in room.
A walk in wardrobe even for a lead in room.
The toilet is in a corner of the “washroom” area. Ensuring privacy 🙂
Ok. Wide Shot.
Shower room separate from the toilet.
Another wide shot.
Of course the room comes with the famous ROUND CIRCLE mirror. Feel like getting one for my own place.
The toiletries are kept in the drawer so this photo did not do them justice. But I forgot to take photos of the toiletries inside the drawer.
Now, there is no famous bedroom slippers like in the Suite though 🙂
Just normal slippers
Overall, it was a good stay for 8 hours and I got lots of work done. The 30SGD dining credit was a god send as then you don’t have to go out of the room for meals and cannot just enjoy the room.
Unfortunately, they no longer offer the Day Stay package. And in fact, I noticed more and more hotels are withdrawing the Day Stay packages. Sad but true.
Day Stays were GREAT while they were around
Day Stay was a way for the hotels to fill up capacity during the Covid period where there were simply no tourists. However, the $320 million in SingapoRediscovers Vouchers have been set aside to encourage Singaporeans to rediscover our city and support our local tourism businesses and has probably helped to fill up capacity and usage in most hotels.
Too bad. It was great to earn elite nights in some hotels even.
