Studio M Hotel Singapore is billed as Singapore’s first fully loft-inspired designer hotel. So every room is supposed to be a loft. That makes it possible to have more than 2 person to stay in each room ? Let’s check it out as part of a Day Stay.
Studio M Hotel Singapore as Day Stay
Studio M Hotel Singapore and its sister hotels such as are quite popular on the Day Stay app. Even on its own web site, Studio M Hotel is proud to share that it has a daycation package. It is hard to find hotels that do that actually (from my experience). Most will “outsource” that to Day Stay app.
And I must admit that I have never tried Studio M Hotel Singapore as a day stay (even though I am a big fan of Day Stay as can be seen from this blog category of Day Stay). To my surprise, it was really worth the money and the stay can be quite pleasant !
Studio M Hotel Singapore Day Stay Room
As stated earlier, I was surprised that it was a loft room. I never really like loft room (in fact, in some hotels I specifically asked NOT to be upgraded to a loft room).
But since this hotel is only loft room, guess I have no choice. I understand there are two kinds of loft rooms from my friends’ experiences. One has the bed on the lower part of the loft room, with the study table (and a sofa bed) on the loft. The other is opposite. I got the first type. Which frankly I liked more…
So sharing some photos of Studio M Hotel Singapore !!
Here’s the loft unit seen from inside the room. It gives you a good sense of the room.
When you walk into this room, the shower and toilet are in two separate areas. The left side (when entering) is the toilet. The right side (when entering) is the shower room.
And then the pantry area is on the left side. With the usual toiletries and coffee stuff etc there.
The basic toiletries you can expect from a stay. Day Stay also need brush teeth, right :p. No mouth wash :p
And the bed right on the lower part of the room. Lots of storage space (as if you need it for a day stay but of course you need it for a longer overnight stay).
And there is a large space for your luggage too.
This really looks like a great stay for a few days of stay if you are a tourist and visit Singapore.
The stairs lead you up to the upper floor.
And you can see a proper study table for you to WFH during your day stay and there is even a sofa bed (does not look too comfortable though)….
And a view of the lower part of the loft unit from the TOP of the loft unit.
Not a bad choice for a day stay especially considering the price of a day stay in this quite well located hotel.
I understand that parking is free (if you can secure the few parking lots available in the hotel), else there are lots of public parking lots along the road side of the hotel.
Two Observations from My Stay
Observation One. Despite the size of a loft room, the air con was pretty cold. I simply love it. I always feel that some hotels really do not give good air con (here’s looking at you, Yotel Jewel) and it was a pleasure that the air con was strong and cold.
Observation Two. The room is really bright and nice as you can see from the photos due to the loft windows (I mean it is DOUBLE VOLUME, right). However the curtain does not close completely as in a very small gap is between the end of the curtain and the wall. This is right at the head of the bed so there is sunlight coming into the room and at the head of the bed. I guess it is fine if you stay the night and wake up in the morning.. but for a day stay… :p
Would I come back again ? Yes, for the price and the clean and airy room !
