Unboxing the Sony WF-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. This is the latest Sony noise cancelling wireless earphones after the very successful WH-1000XM3.
This very popular was completely out of stock on my trip to Hong Kong two weeks ago. I visited a lot of shops in Hong Kong and even the official Sony Store at Mongkok. They were all out of stock there. And at the Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3, that is the same case. Amazed.
This week at Sony store at 313 Somerset, the wait queue was for till end of August. When I visited a popular earphones online store in Singapore, I could order it but was told to expect delivery on 8th August. Surprisingly today I was able to received the delivery of the item today on 6th August 2019. So earlier than expected.
And hence finally I got a set ! đ Going to test it out.
This will be my 2,349th earphones or headphones. Kidding. But I have always been looking for that special earphones that I can stick to. Guess I have a âfaithfulnessâ problem. Ironically the longest earphones I ever used and still using is the….. Apple Wired Earphones. Not even the Apple AirPods. Sigh. Ha ha. Hope this one last longer than the last one (which I used for a total of two hours). Should not mention the name of that pair of wireless earphones. Ha.
Anyway. Unboxing !!! Not done any unboxing for a long while !!!!

Opening it… There is a Step 1 …. to take out the earphones and then put it into the charging case. Okie…..
Hello babies.. the Sony earphones and the big charging case.
Step 2 and Step 3 can only be seen after you take out the earphones and the charging case. Which is definitely bigger than the Apple AirPods charging case. This will then expose the bottom of the box which we can see the set of earbuds and Step 2 and then Step 3! Ha ha.
I concentrated on taking out the rest of stuff. There is yet another charging cable. Too many of them in my life.
Then there is a box of SIX extra sets of ear buds.. WITH many sizes. Plus the one already in the earphones, you will have a choice of seven sizes.
You can have the smallest ears or the biggest ears and still be okay, I guess đ
And the manuals…. we still need paper manuals ?!?
You can get soft copy of the instruction manuals here. Operating instruction which was a great start. Or the help online. Easier.
And you do need to download the Sony Headphone connect app. Available in the Android and iPhone store. Or read about it here at this link. Apparently it is quite useful or necessary for this earphone…..

There is a free engraving service this weekend. Not sure if I will get this case engraved. The case looks so nice. I donât think I want any engraving done.
Anyway the earphones are charging now as we speak. I cannot wait to hear the music from it !!!
The noise cancelling function is accessed by tapping on the left ear piece. Cycling through three stages of âNoise Cancellingâ and then âAmbient Soundâ and finally OFF.
Really hope I will love this earphones and will fit into my ears well….
