Interesting “invention”.. got this as part of a Kickstarter funding project. It is a simple piece of white plastic (according to an email I received…. The material selection was a special type of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) I selected provides both a rubbery feel and sufficient rigidity – a combined set of properties that is rare in plastics. The rubbery aspect is important for the product to feel comfortable when carried in a pocket and to avoid any damage to the jack or the iPhone and the rigidity is obviously important when used as a stand….)
Anyway.. it is meant to (1) first to keep your earphones wrap around the piece of plastic AND you can then attach the plastic to the iPhone so guarantee that you will never to find the earphone (like many of us do.. find the earphones in our bag..) (2) as a iPhone stand too..
Let’s see a video and do visit the homepage of the product.
And let’s see what I got in the mail:
And oh by the way, my iPhone earbuds are still kept in the casing… me and my Virgo nature…. ha
So in pain, I took out the earbuds and followed the instructions:
Starting with this..
After a few tries, I got this ๐
And now plugging into the earjack, I got it as I would like it.. to be able to carry around..
And you can still open the iPhone if you are using the Twelve South SurfacePad:
And then using it as a stand ๐
Or more logically without the ear bud already:
