I am just back from a short shopping trip to Bangkok last night. I would like to share photos of a restaurant that I went to this trip. It is called Cabbages and Condoms restaurant. The restaurant is full of condoms (and food, of course). All its decorations are made up by oondoms. There are statues made of condoms, lamps made of condoms and everything else you can think of.
Despite this, please don’t think of this as a sleazy place. It is not. In fact, it has a very noble cause. It was set up to promote better understanding and acceptance of family planning and to generate income to help support the activities of the Population and Community Development Association in Thailand.
It has a very relaxing atmosphere. There are two floors. The upper floor is where the restaurant is while the lower one is the open air beer garden:
Located at 10 Sukhumvit Soi 12, it is very near to Asok BTS (Skytrain station). From the station, you walk past Sheraton Hotel and then Times Square. Once you passed Times Square, you can turn left into a lane (looks dark) which is labelled Soi 12. Walking down about 10 mins, you can see signs pointing you easily to Cabbages and Condoms.

The food is typical Thai food which is VERY GOOD actually. The deep fried fish was really EXCELLENT !

After you paid the bill, they don’t give you mints like normal places do. THEY GIVE YOU CONDOMS !!! 🙂
You should also take the chance to visit the gift shop. They sell everything related to condoms and stuff to help spread the word of SAFE SEX.
It is a great place to go when you are in Bangkok. It is very easy to go too.
