As I said in this blog post, we can now run Plex on Chromecast as it is now available to all.
End of the day, feeling deja-vu as again, 1080p has an issue of constant buffering 🙂
Maybe it is just me… 🙂
Anyway, sharing the photos !
Once Chromecast is ready for your casting, as per below
Then go to your Plex application. In my case, my Apple iPad, Plex app:
A nice touch is that if you click on the INFORMATION icon (the “i” in round circle at the right hand side), you can see information on the movie (if you have set it up properly as per this link)
Also if you have put up nice fan art (e.g. my movies always have fan art), then you can get this too:
And when you ready to play, choose the Chromecast on your iPad to “Cast” it 🙂
And it will then appear on your TV..
Simple like Apple AirPlay 🙂
When done, just disconnect from your iPad:
720p movies stream very nicely and no issue. Even with subtitles in SRT format. 1080p constantly buffering. With or without subtitles. Changed lots of settings but still so. SIGH.
My 1080p test file, the Hobbits… always buffering. So does UP, the other test file…
Oh well.. back to drawing boards 🙂
One year late, but your issue may be resolved..
