As requested by one of the reader to give an update on this.. I forgot about it .. Sorry.
Indeed I managed to set up Synology Video Station on Roku. It is like an app on Roku but is called a Channel.
Launching it:
Have to manually enter the server IP address number:
Once you have entered the user id and password to gain access to your Synology, you will arrive at this screen. Ugly.
The transcoding settings are OFF. I kept it as it is.
No way of setting anything except ENGLISH which has an impact as you can see later:
Go to the TV shows. I have already set up a TV Show folder in the Synology Video Station itself on the Synology.
You can see my TV serial !
Sharp eye readers will notice something weird…
Now compare this with how this is set up in the Video Station:
Yes Roku is missing all the Chinese characters 🙂
Okie.. Does not matter. At least it works for RMVB files.
