Besides money, one of the things you always run out of are hard disk spaces and network ports. I have quite a few 8 port switches such as this and this. Hence the need for a 16 port switch :). The one I chosen is the Netgear GS316 16 port gigabit switch.
Simple unmanaged switch which I will be using for my main switch next to my router. Of course, Netgear has a huge selection of switches and you can look through them here. And I want to share that my previous 16 port CISCO switch is still serving me well and I loved it. No issues no fuss. So far.
As usual, less words and more unboxing photos…
Close up photos:
Hello Netgear Switch…
Love the fact they supplied these stickers for the foot. I do use them as I don’t wall mount the switch.
The supplied plug is a UK plug. No need for adaptors.
Hello switch again…
The back of the switch….
In the instruction manual, they showed how the LED lights of the switch will show the speed of the connections.
The Netgear GS316 Gigabit Switch feels really well built. Like many of the Netgear switches, it feels very solid.
Good buy 🙂 Ready for use in my new place.
