The Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan hotel is a fantastic and beautiful hotel. The room I stayed in a recent trip was amazing and had a very pretty view of the Shenzhen bay. I simply love this hotel.
Nanshan is home to many IT companies so this is probably also the business area where many foreign visitors on business trip might consider to stay too. It is also a short drive to the Shenzhen High Speed train station that has the excellent high speed train from Shenzhen to Beijing.
The Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan hotel is also very conveniently located next to a mall (Coastal City) which has many floors of shopping !
Location of Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan
Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan is located at the Shenzhen Nanshan area. This is not really just across the usual border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen that most people are familiar with (Luo Hu area).
Instead it is Shenzhen Bay Area just across Yuen Lang from Hong Kong. It is very similar to Singapore and Johor with Second Link Causeway 🙂

I took a private car from Kowloon area to this Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan hotel. Of course, I have to clear customs at the borders. It is very similar to doing so at Immigration and Customs at second link in Singapore. First in HK, I can clear immigration in the car but at Shenzhen, I need to leave the car and go to the customs hall to clear immigration and custom.

A very comfortable soft next to the windows is the perfect place for a quiet moment in the room

Nespresso.. nowadays almost a standard at the hotels I stayed in
All the coffee making stuff and drinks etc are nicely kept in a clean, fresh and covered up cupboard and not, like in some hotels, in some musky looking drawers that you don’t want to open or dare to open. This one practically invites you to try out the stuff. And speaking of food, they sent up a plate of fruits to my room upon checking in. Nice.
Love the wardrobe a lot too. Nice and elegant.
I must admit the highlight to me is the bath tub.. right next to the bed 🙂
But of course, it can be covered up too for privacy 🙂

And did I tell you I love the room when I come back from work..
Shopping Mall next to Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan
The shopping mall Coastal City next to the hotel is worth all your time too. Cinema, food, restaurants, children’s indoor playground, Toy R Us, more shopping, branded bags, IT products, Mobile phone shops. You name it, you have it.
Conclusion
Stay at the Marriott Shenzhen Nanshan if you are in Shenzhen for a business trip and your offices are near to the hotel. Bring your family and they will enjoy the hotel and the shopping mall. Your credit card company will also thank you 🙂
