One day I have a silver MacBook Pro. The next day I got a black one… all because I decided to protect it with a Macally BookShell2 leather protective cover.
It fits the MacBook Pro nicely (but of course) and I find it reassuring that I have something to “protect” my notebook.

The Macally BookShell2 case is actually a two separate piece snap-on protective leather shell.
All around the top piece are 4 snap-on while there are 2 at the bottom piece.
It also has a ventilated rear to minimize heat built-up and has a suede inner lining to prevent scratches to your MacBoook.
The Macally BookShell2 still allows for access to all ports and CD/DVD slot as seen from these pictures.
In fact, it has a nice touche where you can still see the “sleep” indicator on the front of the MacBook Pro.
