Was trying to find a car mount for my iPhone (for those long driving trips up north..). Was looking for one that comes with a remote control so that I can skip tracks (I am always skipping tracks…). But saw this Kenu Airframe on Apple Store and bought it. Ordered on Wednesday. Arrived on Friday.

Fits all kinds of car vent
Here’s the baby:
This part grips the iPhone 5:
Looks SOLID:
But my new Targus Rugged Max Pro Case iPhone 5 seemed a bit too thick for it. I will try it out and see if it still works. I can always move it a bit lower to grip the bottom part.. or else.. I can always just remove the case for those really long trips up north..
[UPDATE] Yes it works really well. Even though my case was thick and the mount grip half way, it is very strong and firm. I fixed it on my car vent and it was very strong and was tight and nice through my short test drive. Photos of it in use:
Since there are no remote, I went the software way and then I found a few apps that will work nicely for skipping tracks. One is called CarTunes Music Player but it cost $$. There is a free app called Groove which works really well and is in fact from last.fm which meant it can actually propose songs based on your listening habits. Interesting. Might do a review in the future 🙂
