Following up on the previous post of the Huawei Wifi MIFI, I was informed that it works with iOS app called “Huawei HiLink”.
Searching on the iOS with “Huawei HiLink”, I can find the app easily.
Before using the app, let’s boot up the Huawei Wifi MIFI:
Welcoming you
And then linking to the Singtel SIM CARD i have placed into the Wifi MIFI:
You can now “logged on” to the router by going to your iPhone wifi and searching for the Wifi MIFI and then logging on with the password:
So far, so good. Launching the app,
You then link the app to the MIFI
And ta ta ta…. you know you are linked when u see this screen and the top right corner showed the number of connections to the router (surely at least one, yours..)
You can see a set of useful functionalities such as battery life and sharing photos etc.
The top right corner shows the number of connections so it is useful to see if anyone is leeching on your wifi 🙂
You can of course see the usage:
Finally I like this ability to set the monthly usage allowance. Initially:
You can find out when your telco refresh your data usage and then enter that date into the app. You then enter your mobile data allowance (I have 5GB so I entered 4GB to be save) and then a threshold. This will control the total usage till the next refresh cycle.
The app will show much GB left you have:
An idea ? Plug the MIFI to your car’s charger and u can have a moving WIFI with you 🙂
