A week or so ago, I ordered a Sony PRS 505 Ebook Reader after spending a lot time deciding if I want a Sony or an Amazon Kindle 2 (or even the latest Amazon Kindle DX). Finally since I know that I will be reading a lot of ebooks that I have already have and not much purchases of new ebooks, I decided to get a Sony ebook reader. If you do read a lot of latest novels, I recommend Kindle as Amazon has a very good selection of books.

While waiting for it to arrive back in Singapore (by a friend who is visiting USA now), I have been spending a lot of time in the ebook forum. Do you know that the National Library also has ebooks available that you can check out and read at home and if you have a Sony PRS 505, you can even transfer the books to it and read. I believe you need a Premium National Library membership ($21 per year) in order to get access to these ebooks.

There are many very useful online libraries offering tons of useful information. There are lots of online books that are in the technology field too. In fact, there is even one section that is of Comics !

Library E Resources

I looked through the library and found the Overdrive selection very good. It is a collection of 10,000 popular ebooks and audio books, including all kinds of genres and many general interest subjects, coming from publishers such as HarperCollins, McGraw-Hill, Time Warner, Scholastic, and Nolo Press. The books are usually Adobe Adobe PDF eBook version or Mobipocket eBook. There are also audio ebooks.

I found many great History books to be downloaded !!
