A few days ago, in a moment of madness (or smartness ?), I got myself a Fitbit Zip… a small, simple to use activity tracker. People are all over these sort of things nowadays… especially those advanced kind that can even track your sleeping habits. Nope, Fitbit Zip cannot. It is just a simple walking/running(?) tracker.
I read that a good healthy person should try to hit 10,000 steps a day (Really?) and i thought, that’s easy… …. After a few days of use, realised it is really hard to hit 10,000 steps a day.. not as easy as one think, due to the kind of lifestyle we have (office work etc).
Will work harder… 2015 New Year Resolution ? 🙂
Unblocking and installation photos ahead ! And do read this 3rd party review at this link which I thought was excellent.
Opening up:
Comes with a holder. Which is extremely useful to clip on your belt or shorts (and in cases of women, I read, that people clip on their bras):
And I have never met a more thoughtful company (not even Apple does this). A simple piece of plastic to help you open the back of the Fitbit Zip so that you can put in the battery. No need to go searching for a coin. Nice !
Hello world 🙂
Installing is easy. I downloaded the iPhone app and then from there, just need to sync them through Bluetooth. From then on, the two gadgets will sync and your Fitbit Account will be updated with the number of steps you take a day.
Some installation photos:
Once found, you need to give some basic data about your sexy body to help the calculations:
And setting up the account:
And setting up the Fitbit Zip:
And the sync is on:
I did reach 10,000 on a particular day.. never since 🙂
