Fairmount Hotel has a “work from hotel” package too. This is the Ultimate Daycation package. It is by no means the cheapest package in town but it is offset by a nice dining credits and has the most liberal usage too. Let’s dive in.
Fairmount Ultimate Daycation Package Details
The Fairmount Daycation package is available from S$145* per room from Monday to Thursday, 8am to 7pm. With taxes, it will come up to $170 or so.
Day use of a Fairmont Room for 2 adults and 2 children from 8am to 7pm
Free unlimited high-speed Wifi for multiple devices
Nespresso coffee / TWG tea / Drinking water in room
S$75 nett dining credits that can be used at SKAI, Prego, Anti:Dote, Mikuni, CLOVE and for in-room dining
Access to outdoor swimming pools, fitness centre and spa facilities that includes Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and hot/cold plunge pools
Access to sunbeds, towel service, changing facilities
I want to point out the two good parts for you. One is the very liberal use of the room by the number of guests. Most hotels who offer such packages will (on paper) stated that only 1 guest is allowed. For Fairmount, it is almost like Daddy has bring the whole family to work and staycation at the same day. And the number of hours are great too. 8am to 7pm is very generous use of a day room.
And also take note of the $75 dining credits that you should definitely use (at least up to the $75) to offset the rather high day use cost. I know there are many great food at the Fairmount area but still this is a good benefit to use. Get some ice cream 🙂
Previously to book, you need to call them or email them. I noticed they have set up a gift site for you to purchase the voucher. However, the deadline is still Dec 2020 which is just two months away.
One very important point. There is NO free parking. This is similar to Lyf Funan as they are both based in a shopping centre and you are to park at the shopping centre. That should (in most cases) factor into your decision making as it does cost a lot to park in town for the whole period of working in a hotel.
Booking Facilities and Dining
Do check your email the days before your check in as the hotel will send you information on how to book the facilities and the dining reservations.
Of course, you can still do that when you are at the hotel itself. I don’t think there are so many people scrambling for the use of the swimming pool 🙂
Checking In in the morning
I am an Accor member but not Accor Plus (at least not yet. I just got my American Express Business Credit Card which should give me a free membership to Accor Plus).
The check in process was fast and there was very little people around at 7:30am in the morning.
One thing to note is that the hotel’s South Wing is used for SHN and you will be staying at the North Wing. Do you care ? It is your choice 🙂
You can see the barrier of the South Wing from this photo.
The Room for the Ultimate Daycation
I was given a rather nice room for the day. It is not as nice as my last stay at Fairmount Hotel but that’s a different class of room.
It is pretty reasonably big (I mean how much space you need to work from a hotel :p).
The table where you can work
Perhaps you prefer to read and do your work on the couch too.
And coffee. Coffee is so so important nowadays 🙂 Yes…. Fairmount hotel serves Nespresso and TWG tea bags in the room.
The washroom
The full set of toiletries as compared to other hotels.
The Hotel Care Package
Like Marriot and Park Royal hotel, the Fairmount hotel will also provide a care package. It comes with sanitizing wipes, a hand sanitizer and some masks too. Nice.
And an explanation of the service measures they have placed in the hotel.
The view from the Room
And oh the view from the hotel room. Can see the beautiful Raffles Hotel.
Conclusion
The location of the Fairmount Hotel makes this a nice place to work from the hotel and take a break from working from home. It is slightly more expensive than the rest of normal day stay packages but it is nicely offset by the dining credit. The room is a little dated though.
Do take note of the parking charges though.
