One of the highlights of my trip to Washington DC was to visit the National Archives. Where the Declaration of Independence was. You are actually allowed to bring camera in but NO FLASH. So you need to hold your camera firmly.

The magnificent Rotunda of the National Archives which holds the 3 most important documents. The Declaration. The Constitution. And the Bill of Rights.

1936 Faulkner Murals: Two large-scale murals in the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom at the National Archives Building in Washington D.C. depict fictional scenes of the presentation of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

The National Archive is situated a bit off the National Mall but still very easy to reach. I enjoyed Washington DC as it is a nice place to walk around and visit the different museums. I wish I had more time again (but then I said that about many places :p)
