Lentor Mansion Preview Starts on 1st March

The new Synology NAS now comes with the ability to remove and replace the fans in the NAS. So it is much easier to clean the blades of the fans which tends to become sticky and dirty with each day.

Here’s some of the steps… just to share.. 🙂

The back of the Synology has two sets of screws. Go for the right one 🙂

After removing the 4 screws, carefully lower the fan holder:

There are METAL GATES guarding the fans inside too. So must remove those too:

You can now reach for the back of the fan to clean the blades.. You will also want to use some cotton buds to reach for the FRONT of the blades which are much dirtier.

I suggest doing this at least once every 6 months 🙂
