The Changi Lounge is a pay-per-use facility owned by Changi Airport Group and operated by JetQuay. The interesting thing about the Changi Lounge is that it is inside the Jewel and available for use to both arriving and departing passengers. And unlike the usual lounges, it is (if you are departing from Singapore) outside the immigration, rather than AFTER the immigration checking.

It is now accessible through lounge memberships like Priority Pass and DragonPass. I have the Priority Pass membership through the American Express Platinum Card and was able to enjoy it for the first time recently.

You can get access to this lounge through the Priority Pass membership. With the American Express Platinum Card, you (and one guest) can get unlimited access all year round to all the Priority Pass lounges. Now if you give a supplementary card to your wife, she can also bring herself (and one guest) to the lounge. That is how our family of FOUR can go into the lounges free π

The Changi Lounge is at on Level 1 of Jewel and you can really find it very easily with the directions on the signboards. Failing which, just make your way to the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1 and you can find it.

For me and my family, we checked in at Terminal 2 and walked over to the lounge. It was a long walk when you have kids π But then, it was really worth the walk. Two reasons. The lounge IS BEAUTIFUL. This is in comparison to the lounge that Priority Pass members will use in Terminal 2. After all these years of using that lounge, it is a WELCOME change. And the second reason could just be lucky but it was very quiet and very under-utilised for the time of my use (about 4pm or so). In fact, we were the ONLY passengers in the lounge π
Entrance to the lounge where you will register with the staff. Show your American Express Platinum Card and your boarding pass and you are in !

Photos of the beautiful lounge ! It is big and classy.

Magazines or Newspapers anyone ?

A row of iMac. Stunning ! There is a printer too so if you need to do some printing.

Showers are available

Meeting rooms… perhaps you need a meeting just before your flight π

And a nap room. That makes more sense π

Shopping ? HUH !?! π For those last minute souvenirs !

Food !! Food is important. There are slightly less selection than the usual one Priority Pass members go to in Terminal 2 but it is not bad either. At least no one is fighting me for the food.

For those want a proper dining table, there are also a few long and very chic tables for you.

The whole place feels good and very comfortable.
And if you need a beer or two… I prefer the peanuts and the coffee/tea selection at this bar…

It was a very enjoyable first time experience for my family and I. It makes travelling a little more comfortable to be able to use this lounge. No business class this trip and no Silverkris lounge π
Remember you can get access to this lounge easily with the Priority Pass membership which comes with a lot of credit cards in the market. But with the American Express Platinum Card, you (and one guest) can get unlimited access all year round to all the Priority Pass lounges worldwide.
Apply for the American Express Platinum Card here and enjoy other benefits that I have covered also in this blog such as the W Hotel Sentosa stay, Banyan Tree stay, upgrades to better rooms at Hilton and Marriott, travel vouchers of $400 airfare and $400 hotel stays etc.
