Following the huge success I have personally in using the Apple 10.5inch iPad Pro, it does not take a lot to convince me to buy the latest 2019 Apple 11-Inch iPad Pro. I got the Space Grey version with Wifi and Cellular. With the experience of using the original iPad Pro, I am very comfortable with getting just 256GB version. No need for any bigger space.
But I did took a while as I was waiting to buy it tax free at Changi Airport. With a business trip recently, I took the chance to grab it at the iStudio store at Terminal 3. They did not have the Apple Pencil on stock, which I bought at the destination country, Shanghai’s Apple Store.

Unboxing 2019 Apple Pencil
By now, you will know that Apple Tax laws in 2019 requires you to buy a whole new Apple Pencil for the new Apple iPad Pro. I got mine in Shanghai China Apple Store at 199RMB. Slightly more expensive than Singapore.
And you know you can now charge the Apple Pencil by magically attaching it to the side of the Apple iPad Pro and securely it at the same time. Now, I love this “charging method”. The previous method is the removing the cap of the Apple Pencil and dangerously plugging into the lightning connector of the Apple iPad (and suddenly your iPad Pro becomes like a weapon….).
Now you can charge it just by attaching it to the side. It is nice.
In 2019, Apple Tax also meant that there is now NO (none, zero, don’t have) any Apple Pencil tip replacement in the box. In the old version, they gave one free replacement. I used it. This time, don’t have. Sigh

Finally, there are no headphone jack on the new iPad Pro. So either you have to buy a wireless earphones or (if you are as traditional as me) buy a USB-C to headphone jack adaptor. Price ? $15 Singapore Dollars at the Apple store. Yes. Yet another tax 😉
