Ever since the show 最美麗的第七天 was shown, I always wanted to visit Park Island. Indeed, based on what I see, if I ever get a chance to work in Hong Kong, this place is where I would love to stay. The other is Discovery Bay. I did had the chance to go to Park Island (see this article) but could not go into the actual housing estate during that visit. Every subsequent visit, somehow, we could not find time to go.
This time, I managed to sneak in a visit. I went there via the bus route (i.e. the Park Island transport from Kwai Fong) and got back to Central via the boat (i.e. just like how the actors and actresses in 最美麗的第七天 did :p)..
Some photos:
In the show, there is a nice romantic cafe that is operated by 黃宗澤 and 郑嘉颖 in the TVB serial 最美麗的第七天. In the show, it is called Ten Cafe.
In reality, the real name is Orpheus Cafe – 奧菲斯 and it is a sleepy quiet cafe in the afternoon. I did not eat at this place (but its nearby shop which I can show some photos next time)… Probably need to visit at night to see it in action ? Pretty disappointed…

Photos of Park Island
Sensing that there is really nothing much else to do there, I decided to take the ferry from Park Island back to Central.. this is also very regularly featured in the TVB show..
For example:
It is not very cheap to travel there by boat:
And aren’t HK people smart. Order a coffee now at Park Island and collect when you reached Central (on your way to office..)
And reaching Central Pier 2 after a nice slow boat sleep (where I slept 50% of the time..)
And the place where always drop Niki to catch her boat home to Park Island
Of course no blog post is complete without photos of the magnificent Tsing Ma Bridge (青马大桥) as taken from Park Island Pier side.. Tsing Ma Bridge (青马大桥) is the backdrop of too many TVB serials 🙂
Bye Bye Park Island
