This article about Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives Private Lagoon Resort is more than 1 year late. The visit to this amazing resort in Maldives took place in October 2024 (yes, not October 2025..). I did very quickly wrote about how to shoot a starlapse with Insta360 camera which was taken from the resort once I was back in October 2024.

But then I totally procrastinate for more than a year. So I am not doing justice to this BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING experience at a Maldives resort. As I am just writing as best as I can remember and not doing a super long post.
I let the photos speak for themselves as it is such a wonderful stay.
About Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives Private Lagoon Resort
Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort, nestled in the secluded Shaviyani Atoll of the Maldives, is a luxury island sanctuary known as the “secret water island” for its expansive, glistening lagoon. The resort offers 120 exquisite villas—including beach, water, and unique safari tent villas—each featuring a private pool and a dedicated villa host for a sanctuary of serenity and refined elegance.
Guests can enjoy a wide array of activities, from exploring The Coralarium underwater art gallery and diving the 9km house reef to relaxing at Arufen Spa and dining at three distinct restaurants. The resort is also committed to sustainability, operating an innovative Sustainability Lab to care for the delicate ecosystem.
A Word Ahead of a Visit to Maldives
It is my belief that you must be prepared to spend in Maldives. The resort stay is not cheap (obviously) but don’t also be stingy with yourself please. I saw some Youtube videos of people hacking their way there. I think it is a waste of the beauty of the place if you do that and “suffer” when you are there.
We went on a FULL BOARD package and it was a god send to be able to eat and DRINK (and DRINK, you will) non stop without any worries. You can then go to any restaurant in the resort for breakfast, lunch, dinner and more food at other times…
In addition, as a word of advice, do be prepared to TIP the service staff. If you are a typical Singaporean who are not used to tipping, you need to get over it…. honestly, it is kinda of the right thing to do too !
Prepare lots of USD $1 notes (and USD $5 notes) for everything that people do for you there. Cleaning your room. Helping you to get from one part of the resort to another etc. Serving you at your table. Oh just generally giving you great service. If you are the kind who hates to even leave a dollar for house cleaning in a hotel, then this might not be your cup of tea 🙂
Remember that the people working there do depends on tips for their income and they do provide excellent service. So do your part ! 🙂
Arriving at Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives
In order to reach Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort, you will need to take the seaplane. Some resorts in Maldives are reached via boats and speed boats. But this is NOT one of them. That added cost to the trip.
However, there can be sometimes promotion for the seaplane rides to the resort (as part of your booking) so watch out for that. It could be pay 1 and get 1 free or even free seaplane rides (during low demand periods etc).
Else it is NOT CHEAP to fly by Sea Plane. But it is an experience.
The seaplane rides are operated by Trans Maldivian Airways. After immigration and collecting your luggages, just walk out and go to the counter and “check in” your luggages with them… (there is a weight limit….) and then you will be given boarding passes to the seaplane rides.
And depending on your package, you will be invited to a business lounge to wait for your turn. There will be a safety video and then off you go 🙂

These are the island they fly to.. Yes Maldives is a collection of many individual atolls and some require seaplanes to reach them.

Boarding Passes.. kinda of cool….

And then these are the seaplanes waiting to take you to the resorts in Maldives

The business class lounge where you wait for your seaplanes

Very comfortable place.

With food and drinks, of course 🙂

Off to our Seaplane !

Inside the seaplane.. it is an experience… try to grab a seat by the side of the plane 🙂

And you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the different atolls and they are pretty amazing…

Don’t know which resort is this but looks amazing to spend some time on…

Your personal Guest Host will drive a buggy from the landing pier to your villa.. Along the way, you will be greeted with views of the facilities and other beach villas…
Till you reach the SEA VILLAS 🙂

Sunset Grand Water Villa With Pool
Let’s jump straight to the room. I booked the Sunset Grand Water Villa With Pool… IT IS SO WORTH THE MONEY !!
Perched above the crystal-clear waters, the Sunset Grand Water Villa offers 235 square metres of luxurious indoor and outdoor space. This includes a sparkling private pool and breathtaking ocean views. You will create magical memories during the day and then relax as the sun sets, painting the sky with vibrant colours.
The Bed and Living Area
Huge Room with a huge bed for you and your partner all night long……… I mean this is ROMANTIC MALDIVES

I am instantly in love with the room.. and the TV Console just pop up off the cabinet.. WOW….

And a very welcoming message from the resort…

The living area….

And a very useful map of the Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort !

The living area can fit another bed for the kid too.. so he will not be sharing the bed lah…

The Private Pool with Access to Ocean
Of course, the highlight for us (and the kid, especially) is the Private Pool. Walk out of your villa into your own private pool area with lots of sitting arrangements. You cannot go wrong with your ebook reader here and just enjoy the sunset. This was also where I took the starlapse video !
I let the photos speak for themselves.. it is so cool…

Even at night, these look so inviting.. You can really enjoy yourself..

Check out the views of the lagoon in the evening..

Facilities and Food
Now, I am not going to spend too much time on these but Sirru Fen Fushi boasts the Maldives’ longest infinity pool, stretching an impressive 200 meters across the island, allowing guests to swim from one side to the other, past incorporated palm trees, creating a unique visual spectacle and a prime spot for sunrise/sunset views.
I actually did a view of walking from one end of the swimming pool to the other end 🙂

I also did a video of some swimming in the pool video with the Insta360 camera.
Balancing the right time to go is important (although we are usually constrained by School Holidays etc). But go when weather is slight okay but less people.

You do run the risk of raining weather (we did for a few days and so we just end up EATING and DRINKING all day long) vs the lack of people (so you can be really enjoy the place)… you can get a quite beach and no one again to fight for beach chairs with ! 🙂

And if you have a half board or full board package, you can try all the restaurants in the resort. Booking early is necessary (using an app) and you will REALLY enjoy the food. The freshest of the seafood etc.

And non stop drinking at the bars.. I never drank so much in my life before….
You can also do some safe scuba diving at the lagoons 🙂
And if you want, I love this video of the famous weather in Maldives.. when it rains.. it really pours 🙂
Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives Resort : Conclusion
Obviously this is my first Maldives resort (and hopefully not last) and I am no expert on this area of the world. But I totally enjoyed my stay at Sirru Fen Fushi and the staff were great. The room was excellent. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING (Full Board helps, I guess) and we had a great time. With lots of drinking…..
In the words of my son, it is a place where you can just relax and because you are going no where (unless you dive), you are NOT in a RUSH and you are just enjoying each moment with your loved ones.
Go for a Maldives trip one day, okay. It is amazing.. Go with your soul mate 🙂
