In this Hong Kong trip, we finally visited North Point ! Of course, to eat !! But that’s for another blog post.

A visit to Chun Yeung Street 春秧街

To get there, we decided to take the tram ride through the Chun Yeung Street 北角 春秧街. Which is the site of a wet market. And also a very popular TVB variety show, 街市游乐团.

What is so special about Chun Yeung Street 春秧街

From HK tourism web site:

Of all the wet markets in the city, none offer as grand an entrance as the Chun Yeung Market. Hop on an eastbound tram heading towards the North Point tram terminus and, without warning, you’ll swing off the broad King’s Road onto a narrow street which is lined on either side with buzzy stalls selling fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood. Experience the sights and sounds of old-school market business in full swing.

I super agree ! 🙂

How to get to Chun Yeung Street 春秧街 by Ding Ding Tram

When you take the tram (ding ding), you should look out for the one that goes to North Point. You can see that on the signboard on the tram. It will say “North Point”.

Any other tram will NOT bring you into the Chun Yeung Street 春秧街

Here’s an map from Hong Kong Tramways web site.

What happen when you are on the Ding Ding to Chun Yeung Street 春秧街
