So I took a little hike one morning from my AKI Hong Kong MGallery Hotel at Wan Chai to the East Coast Boardwalk, North Point. It was a pleasant walk and ended at Fortress Hill area where I had a nice breakfast and an even nicer coffee !

The whole walk is roughly this way on the map of Hong Kong Victoria Harbour.

The distance from my hotel to the Hong Kong East Coast Broadwalk is 4km.

Let’s go for the walk !

From the AKI Hong Kong MGallery hotel, there is a bridge right next to the hotel that takes you through couple of buildings and it will reach the new Exhibition Centre MTR station and then to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier area to start our walk !

You will see this beautiful waterfront area… called 灣仔海濱公園 !

And just like in Singapore City Square Mall, there is also a MTR train here for you to visit !

The two “Fly Head” train cars retain the same appearance as when they were running on the East Rail Line and are now officially settled at “Harbour Station” of the “Water Sports and Recreation Precinct” on the Wan Chai Harbourfront.

Walking on.. and enjoying the harbour view of Kowloon from the Hong Kong Island side…

Soon, you will reach Water Sports Hub of Wan Chai

A little walk more and you will see Cross Harbour Tunnel, the site of many movies…

AT this point, you might be stuck. How do I carry on. Actually what you need to do is to walk into the gates of Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) on the left side of the photo above.

Here’s a little map to show you…

You can see this sign when you are inside Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC). You are walking towards the “Revitalised Typhoon Shelter Precinct” !

And around this point, we were quite contented to finish our walk (4km from AKI Hong Kong MGallery Hotel) and go for breakfast !

We exited the Broadwalk to City Garden Road and set out to find Angus Cafe (半島冰室) and Uncle Ben Coffee for a traditional Hong Kong breakfast and EXCELLENT COFFEE.
