Lentor Mansion Preview Starts on 1st March

No, Twelve South (one of my favourite Mac products company) never released a product called “HiRise for Mac Mini”.

I have a few Twelve South products. Such as the HiRise for iPhone 5 (which I am still using with my iPhone 6S Plus today), or the SurfacePad for iPhone 5 (which I am no longer using) or the excellent Twelve South Book Arc for MacBook Pro (which I have just stopped using as I have replaced my MacBook Pro with a Mac Mini and which is still in excellent condition).

The thing is Twelve South releases products that fit a specific niche market for Apple Products.

There is this one product called Twelve South HiRise for iMac.

I bought this (recently during Black Friday sale at 50% discount) and to be used with my new Mac Mini 🙂

Here’s a photo of how it looks like:

A reminder that this is HiRise for iMac…

Fixing it up is pretty easy. Making mistake like putting the cover wrongly (like in this photo where the HiRise logo is at the top instead of the bottom) is easy 🙂

Because you have the flexibility of deciding how you want to use the box, the back is also up to you:

You are given the screws and key to lock the back plate but I left it unlocked as the magnets are strong enough to hold it (the front cover is also held up by magnets).

Anyway, I don’t have a iMac and did not buy this for iMac. I bought this to place my Mac Mini on it:

You can then use the HiRise to store stuff under the Mac Mini. For example, lightning cables, USB portable hard disks, maybe the mouse when you are not using it.

The middle place is a sliding plate so you can pull it out to reach for stuff. You can also decide which “level” to place this plate to create more space at the top or the bottom. For me, more space at the bottom for my Seagate portable hard disk and less space at the top for the lightning cable and bank security key cards:

So here you are, HiRise for Mac Mini 🙂
