Over the years, I have flied on several Singapore Airlines business class versions. My favourite is the recent 2017 version, and my unfavourite will always be the 2009 regional version (luckily, it is almost gone and will be replaced by the 2018 regional version).
Recently, I was on a trip o Shanghai and Beijing and took the SQ Business Class 2013 version (2013 J). I am surprised I have not shared photos of it before so here’s it is. It is still quite commonly available and I actually think it is a good product. After these years, I still think you should take it if you have a choice (it is just 5 years old… which is a short time in aviation).
Sharing Photos and the food I ate for these trips…
Singapore to Shanghai featured this seat on SQ836. However, in late 2018, Singapore-Shanghai routes will also get the new 2017 seats !!
Huge Screen:
Mirror mirror.. I never used one of these ever… except for two finger gesture..
Charging.. Charging is important
I like this side storage a lot.. basically I throw everything from SQ there (slipper, eye shades, newspapers, food .. ok, just joking)
I love this control:
Lights, lights will be good..
Long legs, no problem neh..
Just below, nice place for shoes, a backpack or a kid (kidding):
I find privacy very good on the Singapore Airlines 2013 business class version
Food food.. of course, this is the Beijing Shanghai etc flight so there is the new special Chinese menu..
Always Chicken Rice…
The Beijing to Singapore flight which featured the 2013J version is the SQ801. Which flies from Beijing at 12 midnight.. so it is a sleeper flight..
The fish congee tasted so gooooood .. with my ever normal order of “Bailey’s on the rocks”.. Ya.. weird I know..
