The Mt Kachi Kachi Ropeway is an attraction at Kawaguchiko Lake and offers a great view of Mt Fuji (on good weather days). It is really easy to reach it as it is part of the RED LOOP line.
Here’s the map. Drop at bus stop 11 and cross the road. That’s it 🙂
At the station, produce the tickets (if you have purchased the package at the Kawaguchiko Station) and off you go.. Into a cable car (Ropeway…that’s what they call it in Japan.. Just like the one in Hakone).
On the way up, admire the Kawaguchiko Lake as well as the autumn leaves (at least during my trip in Nov 2017).
And once you reach the top of the hill, you will have a great view of Mt Fuji. Go to the second level (roof top) of the souvenir shop and get an even better view :). In this photo, you can see people at the top of the shop. That’s the roof top.

There are also places where you can pray and even a large bell for good luck in marriage/relationship/love.
Do take time for this. If you are even more adventurous, you can go for a hike (about 3-4 hours) that supposedly will give a much better view (as you go even higher up the mountain).
