Man Fat Sze 萬佛寺 : The actual monastery

After your long walk up, you are greeted by the fantastic monastery. At the entrance, do take a stop and read (if you know Chinese) the two long sayings on the red board. It is VERY meaningful.

The magnificent monastery awaits you:

Looking a bit further at the monastery, you noticed it is sitting against a mountain. Great in terms of geomancy.

Going into the monastery building but stop to admire the ceiling:

And right in the middle, are the buddhist statues as well as the mummified body of the late founder of the monastery, Venerable Yuet Kai 月溪法師. That’s the golden preserved body in the glass case right in front of the 3 statues.
