Continuing our discussion on the great food along Electric Road at Tin Hou MTR (which is near to Empire Hotel Causeway Bay).
This time, let me introduce to you a MUST TRY (DIE DIE MUST TRY) dessert shop at 77 Electric Road. This is the Ching Ching Dessert (晶晶甜品).
With over 16 years of elbow grease, Ching Ching is famous for serving classic Chinese desserts such as Black Sesame and Tofu Puddings and newer ones like Mixed Fruit Sago Soup. Simple treats like their Black Sesame Filled Tong Yuen (sweet rice dumplings) is good; it is soft and chewy, the filling is not too sticky and it is served in delicious Sweet Ginger Soup.
If you stay at Empire Hotel Causeway Bay, it is right in the middle of the walking route from Tin Hou MTR Exit A2 to the Hotel. The green circle is the hotel. The red is the exit and the blue is the route. If you are walking from MTR, it is on the LEFT hand side of the route from MTR. The placeholder in the map marks the approximate location.
These photos are taken with my iPhone as I did not wish to attract too much attention on my visit. It is always so packed ! Every night, we will stop over and buy dessert and bring it back to the hotel room ! 🙂
The most crazy thing ? I realized despite eating almost every night, I took ZERO photos of the desserts ! TERRIBLE ! 🙂
